Presently, Tim is a retired music teacher who worked 28 years with WCDSB.  He has played all the saxophones with a variety of groups and has been featured as a classical, jazz and ragtime soloist over the past 40 years. Some of the bands he has played and recorded with include The Band of the Ceremonial Guard in Ottawa, Orchestra London, Wellington Winds, The Royal City Saxophone Quartet, the Stratford Symphony Orchestra, KW Big Band Theory, The Windjammers, The Forest City Saxophone Quartet and of course, his own groups TMJAZZ and the Clefs of Moher.  As the leader of TMJAZZ he produced three CDs that were largely instrumental. Most recently, the Clefs of Moher recorded two CDs all in collaboration with Rick Hutt. The Clefs have performed at many festivals and small venues including Sun Life Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival, Belmont Village Bestival,  All That Worldly Jazz Festival, Kultrun Festival, The Registry Theatre, and is a regular performer at The Jazz Room in Waterloo. In 2014/15 Tim was the Artistic Director of “In Harmony to End MS”, an annual show held at the Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts (Kitchener). In 2017 he founded the local arts and music festival, Belmont Village Bestival. Tim is presently in a collaboration with Jenn Weatherall to produce a musical entitled ‘An Gorta Mor’. This musical is a story of a family immigrating from Ireland to Canada during the Potato Famine.  The Clefs of Moher and in turn, An Gorta Mor, sprang out of his desire to learn about and embrace his Irish heritage.

Belmont Village Bestival acknowledges that the land on which we live and work today, is of the Haldimand Tract within the territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee people. We are thankful to the First Nations, Métis and Inuit people who care for these territories and those across the province.
