Antonio Michael Downing

Born and raised in South-Central Trinidad, Antonio Michael Downing is a BIPOC musician, author and performer. Since releasing his second album SAGA KING in 2021 under the nom de plume of John Orpheus, he has been busy promoting his memoir SAGA BOY (Penguin Random House), releasing a children's book STARS IN MY CROWN (Penguin Random House) and launching his debut novel called BLACK CHEROKEE (Simon and Schuster) which is a finalist for the Amazon Canada First Novel Award. The next chapter in his life and career brings together his musical and writing endeavours under one creative umbrella.
